How to configure DNS host mapping on your modem

DNS host mapping creates a static hostname for the specified IP address in the DSL router. Both WAN and LAN IP addresses are supported.

NOTE:  Depending on your model, your modem's user interface may appear slightly different from the images below.

5. Select "DNS Host Mapping" in the left sidebar. This menu option may appear in the LAN Settings section or in the IP Addressing section, depending on your model.

6. Follow the steps to edit the DNS Host Mapping settings.
 

  • Step 1:  Enter the desired DNS host name.

  • Step 2:  Enter the IP address. You can also click to remove items from the DNS Host Mapping List at the bottom.

  • Step 3:  When you're finished adding or removing items, click "Apply" to save your changes.
